Weekly Wanderings [08.7.17]

It’s the first full week of August, but have you really gotten your summer on if you haven’t visited a tiki bar? Well, you don’t have to leave the district to enjoy a perfect summery cocktail. Check out Hogo on 7th street, the transformed 2nd floor of Passenger for a Caribbean experience replete with pineapples and coconuts.

This Friday celebrate baseball…and the 90sat the Nationals stadium. Watch the Washington nationals take on the San Francisco giants, all while enjoying 90s nostalgia.
Looking to cool off this week with a quick dip in the pool? Why not read up on The Washington Post’s guide to pools in the district, which range from swanky hotels to free public pools.

In light of last night’s insane episode you might want to head over to the GoT pop-up bar which closes on August 27th. Celebrate the dragon’s domination over the lion with drinks like, “The Lannisters Send their Regards.” Although we aren’t sure what the next theme is, stop back and check in the upcoming weeks!

Another reminder that Summer Restaurant Week is next week! If you haven’t already made a reservation, visit the website and make one asap as they’re filling up (and some restaurants no longer have any available.

As the summer winds down, Jazz in the Garden is ending on August 25th. Make sure to stop by (and get there early if possible) before the summer is over!

EdibleDC and Cut Seven are running a bootcamp this weekend in Canal Park. Tickets are $12-$20 and are still available. It will include workouts, curated foods, and drinks. Let us know if you are going (and how it was)!
