Down These Mean Streets is one of the most compelling photographic exhibitions currently on view at any of the Smithsonians. Stop by the Smithsonian National Museum of American Art to listen to five curators from share their insights into the compelling photographs and the importance of Urban Photography on July 13th, at 5:30pm.

It’s been two years since the infamous Backyard BBQ went on hiatus…but it’s back  this Thursday at the National Building Museum! Thursday – Sunday, savor Hill Country’s best BBQ while playing lawn games, sipping some yummy drinks, and listening to live music.

Dying to drink the pink this rosé season? The Ritz’s westend bistro is hosting a Rosé Garden every Friday for the rest of the summer. The menu & cocktails will reflect this wonderful season.

The Lotus & Water Lily festival in SE kicks off at 10:00am on July 15th. Head Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, the only national park dedicated to growing aquatic plants, for free events, a bevy of garden tours, and some drool-worthy insta shots of the gorgeous gardens.

Sadly, Irish Whiskey Public House (in Dupont Circle) is officially done. The bar is going through a “Tulip” themed re-vamp over the next few months. We’re a bit disappointed but we’re excited to see what it looks like in October.
