One of our favorite D.C. bars, The Brig, is having the Rural Dog Rescue “Bark and Brew” this Thursday, June 15th! For a $10 donation to RDR, you can enjoy food specials and happy hour pricing from 6-11pm. You can check out event tickets here, or just come to the event! It begins at 6pm, and we’ll be covering it live!

The American Film Institute is back again for AFI DOCS Film Festival starts up again Wednesday, June 14th. You can score tickets to the annual event here.

The Summer of Yoko Ono starts this Saturday, June 17th, at the Hirshhorn. The Hirshhorn will present a selection of the artist’s most iconic and emotionally charged installations and performances. These will include the wish tree (which you can place your very own wish onto), My Mommy is Beautiful, and SKY TV for Washington D.C..

June 17th is the official Columbia Heights Day! It’s a community festival with live music, great food, and local vendors. The event begins at 12pm and goes until 6pm, and is free to attend. There will also be a Family Fun Field Day at Harriet Tubman Elementary School Yard at 11th and Kenyon Streets.

Truckeroo is back again for June, check it out Friday, the 16th at the Yards Parks.
